Concerns From Players

In a recent revelation, MLB's new uniform reveal has sparked widespread criticism, with some of the backlash now taking aim below the belt. Bruce Meyer, Major League Baseball Players Association deputy executive director, confirmed on Thursday that players have expressed concerns to MLB regarding the new pants, which have been noted to be somewhat see-through. These complaints, initially brought to light by ESPN, are just a fraction of the broader discontent surrounding the new uniforms, designed by Nike and manufactured by Fanatics.

Pushback from Players

"I know everyone hates them," voiced Phillies shortstop Trea Turner. "We all liked what we had. We understand business, but I think everyone wanted to keep it the same way, for the most part, with some tweaks here or there."

Enhanced Features

MLB officials have highlighted that the new uniforms offer increased mobility with 25% more stretch and boast a 28% faster drying rate. The lettering, sleeve emblems, and numbering have also been streamlined to create a more breathable and comfortable wearing experience.

Commissioner's Response

Commissioner Rob Manfred had previously expressed optimism that criticisms would dissipate over time. However, this was before the recent surge of feedback that has brought attention to issues below the belt.
