As the opening of U.S. stock markets approaches, several stocks have shown significant movements in pre-market trading. Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. Cl A (FND) saw a 7.5% increase, while Shopify Inc. Cl A (SHOP) experienced a 2.8% rise.
Notable gainers in pre-market trading include Roivant Sciences Ltd. (ROIV), Kinross Gold Corp. (KGC), and Elastic N.V. (ESTC), all posting gains of at least 2%. On the other hand, United Airlines Holdings Inc. (UAL) and Exact Sciences Corp. (EXAS) recorded declines, falling 5.3% and 4.8% respectively.
Futures indicate a downward trend, with the S&P 500 futures down 0.43% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.28%. Additionally, the Cboe Volatility Index futures are up 7.51%.
Turning to commodities, Brent crude oil futures have risen by 2.58%, while gold futures have seen a 1.16% increase. However, Bitcoin has slipped by 0.32%, currently valued at $28,372.
The 10-Year Treasury yield has dipped to 4.818%.
Looking back at the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 remained unchanged, while the Dow experienced a slight increase of 0.04%. In Asia, the NIKKEI 225 Index in Japan saw a marginal rise of 0.01%, whereas China's Shanghai Composite Index recorded a decline of 0.80%.
Currently, European stocks are facing a downward trend, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index dropping 0.63% and the FTSE 100 Index decreasing by 0.73% compared to the previous close.
